Rajesh Pratap Singh showcased a handloom collection that gives a new perspective on ethnic glamour at FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week 2023 in association with Reliance Brands.
The runway was filled with candles and the show commenced with traditional folk music and dance performance by a former contestant of India’s Best Dancer 2 Varun Dagar and live son performances by Anita Dangi and Manganiar performance,the Models glided through the dark in LED headgear in eclectic men’s and women’s couture. The collection presented a new take on what couture means. The collection travels through the sands of two regions we love, Kerala and Rajasthan,” stated the note for ‘Desert Rose’ laid out for the audiences ahead of the show. “The great gilded Indian Wedding, the Desert and the Indian Gulab” informed its silhouettes and motifs—all translated in a noir-minimalist makeover.
