Ace designers Monisha Jaising and Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s MxS private runway showcase took place exclusively at Godrej L’Affaire, Mumbai on Saturday, February 22. The show was a “Private Runway Showcase” and featured their chic and trendsetting collection which was tailored with utmost attention to detail and sophistication.
Godrej L’Affaire was a one-day curated experiential platform by the Godrej Group redefining future lifestyle experiences. Conceptualized as a one-day experience, Godrej L’Affaire showcased a mix of ideas and concepts around design, décor, food, travel, fashion, art and music.
Supermodels like Carol Gracias, Deepti Gujral, Aanchal Kumar and Sucheta Sharma, walked the ramp while the show was choreographed by Shie Lobo. Supporting Shweta’s first ever MxS fashion show, Jaya Bachchan amongst other celebrities was also present. The MxS Private Runway Showcase’ collection was cheeky, preppy and playful as well as whimsical and glamorous. ‘Reflective light’ or ‘play of light’ seeking centre stage for the majority of the collection through interesting choices in surface texturing and fabrics specially manufactured for MxS. There was superfluity of different references, but still there was be a sense of focus in the lineup. Street-inspired and sportive elements were worked upon with different proportions and fabric mash-ups, and a riot of acid colors and whimsical hued treatments gave a jolt of energy to feminine shapes.
