Singapore Food Festival India Edition 2022

(From 27th August to 11th September 2022)

Singapore Food Festival – a celebration of Singapore’s rich food and culture set across DLF Malls in Delhi and Park Hyatt in Chennai- to experience a diverse culinary scene like never before!

The Singapore Food Festival (SFF) returns for its 2nd edition in India from 27th August to 11th September 2022 at Delhi’s favourite experiential shopping destination – DLF malls, and Park Hyatt in Chennai. With gastronomic experiences based on heritage, contemporary and innovation pillars, SFF 2022 offers a sumptuous and exclusive menu at partner restaurants.

By introducing this event to India, along with 12 other major countries across the globe, SFF extends Singapore’s famously rich and diverse culinary scene of Singapore overseas. The festival, which happens islandwide every year, brings together the best of Singapore’s food and culinary talent and showcases their unique heritage, along with how they are pushing the boundaries and driving the evolution of Singapore’s food culture.

Foodies outside Singapore can also enjoy a taste of authentic local fare through SFF activations in select countries and virtual masterclasses or go behind the scenes to learn more about the lives of local chefs lives and brands through SFF-exclusive video content on the festival site.

Housing the best of both worlds under one roof – upscale fashion, beauty and lifestyle stores along with some of Delhi’s most loved and celebrated restaurants – DLF malls make for a perfect destination to host the 2nd edition of the SFF.  DLF Promenade is hosting a multitude of exciting activities and immersive experiences for consumers to look out for during the festival. There is a Boba Tea Kiosk by Fat Tiger, a very popular drink in Singapore which will be set up in the main atrium of the mall. For those who love to take pictures as keepsakes, there will be a photo-op too. The mall will be decorated with festive ambience with digital screens directories providing all you need to know about the festival.

In addition to the foodie offerings in Delhi, Indian consumers down South will also be able to enjoy SFF festivities, with an exclusive activation held at the recently launched Singaporean restaurant, “Mr. Ong”, at Park Hyatt Chennai. The restaurant has curated a special Singapore-inspired menu, allowing visitors a chance to relish Singaporean delights such as satay ayam (grilled chicken skewers), rojak (spiced salad), and char kway teow (dark soy fried rice noodles).

Mr. GB Srithar, Regional Director, India, Middle East, South Asia & Africa, Singapore Tourism Board, said: “Indian travellers are increasingly experimenting with new and differentiated experiences, especially when it comes to exploring the culture of a destination through its local cuisine. Over the last few years since 2019, STB has presented Singapore’s vibrant gastronomic landscape through a multitude of activities to the Indian audience. Our recent partnerships with Voot for #CheatWeekinSingapore, Zomato for Zomaland@Home and Foodhall India, have enabled us to take Indian consumers on a Singapore culinary journey in a creative and engaging manner.

The partnerships with DLF in Delhi and “Mr Ong” in Chennai, as part of our Singapore Food Festival 2022, will bring tastes of our famously food-obsessed city to our like-minded friends here. We hope that this glimpse into Singapore’s vibrant, award-winning culinary scene will entice them to visit Singapore and enjoy its culinary delights and more.”

Mr. Siddhartha Natu, Associate Vice President DLF Limited said: “The Singapore Food Festival at the DLF Promenade is an exciting way to bring Singapore’s rich and diverse culinary scene to India. The exclusive programming is part of DLF Promenade’s efforts to creatively engage with our customers and bring them the best of global culture, food and lifestyle experiences. Foodies can expect some divine festival-exclusive treats and food steeped in heritage and innovative creations. The Singapore Food Festival is all set to raise the bar of Delhi’s culinary scene.
