As the festive season approached, I was invited to Eros Hotel New Delhi, Nehru Place, for their annual Cake Mixing Ceremony—a tradition that beautifully captures the joy of the holidays.
The moment I arrived, the hotel’s lush gardens caught my eye, transformed into a festive haven with colorful decorations that seemed to radiate warmth and cheer. It was the perfect setting to welcome the season, surrounded by the energy of excited guests, lively Christmas music. There was an air of excitement that made it feel like the holidays had truly begun.
Being part of this joyful tradition was a real treat, and I couldn’t wait to roll up my sleeves and join in the fun.
The event brought together an interesting mix of people, including food and beverage influencers, familiar faces, and the hotel staff, all buzzing with excitement. Aprons were handed out, and soon we were all around the tables, scooping up almonds, cashews, apricots, and spices—ingredients that symbolized the joy of the season and the promise of Christmas.
Mr. Davinder Juj, the General Manager, and Chef Diwas Wadhera led the way, sharing their thoughts on how this tradition marks the beginning of the festive celebrations at the hotel. Bollywood director Anand L Rai also joined, adding an extra spark to the afternoon.
After all the mixing, we wrapped up with a cozy high tea. The spread of snacks and drinks was the perfect way to wind down, leaving everyone with a smile and that unmistakable festive buzz. It was a day of simple joys, community, and anticipation for the season ahead.
