Weaving Global Growth

Bharat Tex 2026 to Showcase India’s Textile Leadership on a Global Stage

New Delhi: Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, will be held from July 14 to 17, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, bringing together the entire textile value chain on a single international platform. Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the event is expected to reinforce India’s position as a global hub for textiles, fashion, sustainability, innovation and international trade.

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion and Fashion to Foreign—the third edition has evolved into a significant business and sourcing platform connecting manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, brands, investors, policymakers, designers, artisans, start-ups and technology providers.

Spread across 1.6 million sq. ft., Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to host over 1,600 exhibitors, welcome more than 7,000 international buyers and 1.3 lakh trade visitors, while showcasing over 20,000 textile products spanning fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles and textile machinery.

The exhibition will also spotlight India’s renowned textile clusters, including Tiruppur, Ichalkaranji and Ahmedabad, alongside international exhibitors from 14 countries. Strong participation from organisations such as the United Nations and the European Union, together with leading industry players including Trident, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM, Shahi Exports, ColorJet, Arvind, PDS Limited and Sattva, further underlines the event’s global significance.

A key highlight this year is the participation of 17 Indian States and Union Territories. Sponsor States include Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, while Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal will participate as exhibitors, showcasing regional textile strengths, investment opportunities and manufacturing capabilities.

Beyond the exhibition, Bharat Tex 2026 will host an extensive knowledge programme featuring over 100 sessions, including panel discussions, roundtables, masterclasses and State-focused sessions. More than 350 speakers from over 20 countries will deliberate on themes such as sustainability, circular economy, emerging technologies, trade, investment, Industry 5.0, export readiness, product innovation and the future of global sourcing.

The event is also expected to facilitate nearly 3,500 curated B2B meetings, over 100 B2G interactions and the signing of 20-plus MoUs across trade, investment, sustainability, technology and institutional collaborations, creating new opportunities for exporters, manufacturers, MSMEs and international partners.

Strengthening its international footprint, Bharat Tex 2026 has attracted interest from ministerial and business delegations representing countries including New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Cambodia, Brunei, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Russia, South Africa, the UAE, Bangladesh and Thailand. Special country-focused sessions will address bilateral trade opportunities, including the India–UK Free Trade Agreement, the India–US cotton partnership and the India–New Zealand wool ecosystem.

The event will also feature dedicated State Investor Connect Sessions, enabling participating States to present investment opportunities, policy initiatives, manufacturing infrastructure and PM MITRA linkages to domestic and global investors.

Sustainability remains central to this edition with the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards 2026, recognising excellence across resource efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable materials, responsible business practices and industry collaboration.

To enhance visitor experience, organisers have launched the Bharat Tex 2026 mobile app, enabling exhibitor discovery, AI-assisted matchmaking, digital badge access, B2B meeting scheduling, live event updates and interactive floor plans. A pre-fair directory has also been introduced to help buyers and exhibitors identify business partners and schedule meetings before the exhibition begins.

As India’s flagship textile exhibition, Bharat Tex 2026 aims to strengthen global partnerships, promote investment, accelerate innovation and position India as a preferred destination for sustainable and competitive textile manufacturing while shaping the next phase of growth for the global textile industry.
