“The Retro Orchard” was a nostalgic journey through the striking Seventies, when bold colours, thick lines, flowery patterns, and graphics played an important role.

The collection by Ashish presented a balanced offering for both men’s and women’s wear, emphasizing a gender-neutral look. The fashion direction was inspired by a particular era, possibly the early Seventies, and featured colorful plaids for men’s wear. Plaids were the primary fabric choice, appearing in shirts and suits, while the color brown, a favorite of that decade, was paired with primary hues. The collection aimed for equality not only in fabric selection but also in the construction of garments, with women’s wear sometimes drawing inspiration from men’s silhouettes.

Key elements

Colorful Plaids for Men’s Wear:

Ashish embraced colorful plaids as a prominent fabric choice for men’s wear, showcasing the vibrant and eclectic style of that era.

Brown as a Key Color:

Brown, a popular color from the Seventies, was featured prominently in the collection and paired with primary hues.

Inspiration from the Early Seventies:

The collection drew inspiration from the early Seventies, potentially referencing iconic moments like Bianca Jagger wearing a white tuxedo to Studio 54.

Trousers and Formal Wear:

Trousers were a notable and popular offering in Ashish’s collection, suggesting versatility for women to incorporate them into both workwear and formal wear.

Double-Breasted Suits and Wide Shoulders:

The collection featured an interesting display of double-breasted suits with wide shoulders and matching lapels, showcasing a nod to the fashion trends of that era.

The overall theme is a nostalgic tribute to the Seventies, with a focus on bold plaids, gender-neutral styles, and iconic elements from the fashion landscape of that time. The inclusion of wide shoulders, double-breasted suits, and the promotion of trousers for women suggests a blend of retro aesthetics with a contemporary and inclusive approach to fashion.
