As part of its “ Chintan Se Samadhan” series, Nav Bharat Foundation, a public discourse platform advocating for peaceful dialogue to solve inter community issues , recently organised a webinar on “Article 370, CAA-NRC and Ram Mandir : Dialogue not riots”

The chief speaker Sh. Indresh Kumar, RSS leader, drew parallels between the Ram Mandir issue and recent violence in the anti CAA-NRC protests and said , “ Sampradayik Kootniti was the cause of the violence in both cases” . In the backdrop of the conflict with China , on Article 370 and PoK , he said, “One India -One Constitution – Arkham’s Bharat . Violence was never our way but are ready to defend our rights”

Highlighting the struggles of the poor during the COVID pandemic , “ we must be more sensitive and help as many of our brothers and sisters as we can”

On COVID 19 he noted , “ It’s a man made crisis gripping the world with China’s stamp on it ..”

He applauded the Indian people for their resilience, but also said , “ incidents like the Tabligi Jamat incident that accelerated the spread of the virus..”

He advocated “ Atma nirbharta and respect for all religions and equal human rights , alluding to the abolition of Triple Talaq..” as the only way forward.

Frederique Constant presents two new variations on its Flyback Chronograph Manufacture collection. This timepiece, destined for the discerning chronograph enthusiast, was developed, manufactured and assembled in its entirety in-house at the Geneva manufacture. The individuality and intricacy of the collection make it highly desirable among lovers of the chronograph.

A history rooted in the origins of the chronograph

The flyback was one of the first features to be added to the chronograph during the 1930s. A straightforward concept, it allows the chronograph to be stopped, reset and restarted with a single press of the push-piece, rather than three successive presses.

And yet this ingenious idea, which comes into its own when timing successive races at sporting events, is underpinned by a truly sophisticated mechanism. While the chronograph’s stop, reset and restart functions were originally controlled by pressing two push-pieces in sequence, in flyback mode, a single press of the push-piece engages all three operations simultaneously.

Six years in development, a brand new flyback design

The conventional flyback mechanism is based on a set of several column wheels that act as a system of clutches. The FC-760 calibre that operates the Flyback Chronograph Manufacture dispenses with this complexity, replacing the standard column wheel with a star-shaped wheel. This results in a thinner movement with fewer parts and operations. The FC-760 calibre from Frederique Constant is simpler, smoother and more reliable.

Pressing the pusher at 4 o’clock declutches the chronograph’s movement and resets it. Once the pusher is released, the movement and the chronograph re-engage and the chronograph restarts. No fewer than 6 years of development were required to attain this degree of sophistication. The FC-760 calibre, which can be admired through the new collection’s sapphire crystal, is also more aesthetically pleasing. The flyback module accounts for just 96 of the entire movement’s 233 parts, making it one of the most efficient flyback modules in the world, as well as one of the most affordable, thanks to its ingenious, patented construction. As a result, prices for the new Flyback Chronograph Manufacture start at 3,895 euros.

Two colour options, two new variations

These days, half of all chronographs are gold, a colour that already features heavily in this collection. In response to demand from collectors, Frederique Constant can today unveil two new options, both featuring two-tone styling with silvered counters. In a first for this model, the counters and the face are different colours. This novel contrast improves legibility and gives the chronograph a sportier feel.

In the first version, the three counters are set against a chocolate-coloured dial with a 42-

mm rose-gold case. The second features a blue dial with a stainless-steel case. Contemporary and dynamic, these new Flyback Chronograph Manufactures have baton indices and luminous hands, as well as an alligator strap with deployment clasp stamped with the Frederique Constant logo.

So, pamper your special man in your life with his favourite movie online and a bowl of dessert to satisfy his sweet tooth. We have shortlisted some luscious dessert recipes from Del Monte stable that you can bake for your father in just no time and celebrate the special occasion this Sunday to make it memorable.

Chocolate Cranberry Nut Clusters

Ingredients

75g DEL MONTE dried cranberries
50g walnuts
50g almonds
200g dark chocolate

Method

Chop the walnuts and almonds.
Melt the chocolate in a large heat proof bowl in a microwave for one minute. Stir until smooth.
Add the dried cranberries and chopped nuts to the melted chocolate. Stir well so that all the fruit
and nuts are coated with chocolate.
Lightly grease a baking tray or plate.
Drop teaspoonfuls of the chocolate mix on the tray. Chill for 15-20 minutes until set.
Once set, take off tray and store in a cool place

FRUIT COCKTAIL PANNA COTTA

Ingredients-

1 + ½ cup milk
3 tsp powdered gelatine
½ cup castor sugar
1 + ½ cup heavy cream
1 canDelMonte Fruit Fiesta, drained

Method-

Pour the milk in a sauce pan. Sprinkle gelatine on it evenly and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Bring the sauce pan over low heat and let the gelatine dissolve. Do not boil the mixture.
Once the gelatine has dissolved, add the sugar and let that melt as well.
Bring the mixture off heat and mix in the cream.
Lightly grease a glass bowl/ ramekins. Spread the fruit fiesta in an even layer.
Pour the cream mixture over it and let it set in the fridge over-night.

MINI BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKES

Ingredients-

For the compote:

Dried Blueberries: 200 gms
Water: 1 cup
Sugar: 1/4 cup
Zest of 1 Lemon

For the biscuit layer:

Biscuits: 8-10
Melted Butter: 3 tbsp

For the cheesecake batter:

Heavy Cream: 3/4 cup (cold)
Zest of 1 lemon
Icing Sugar: 1/2 cup
Vanilla: 1 tbsp
Cream Cheese: 225 gms (at room temperature)

Method

Start by making the blueberry compote. In a pan, add dried blueberries, water, sugar and zest of one lemon.
Mix well and bring it to a boil. Simmer for 15 – 20 minutes till the coyote thickens up and the blueberries are soft. Set aside to cool.
Add biscuits to a food processor and pulse till the biscuits resemble bread crumbs. Add butter and pulse a few more times. Remove the biscuit crumbs and set aside.
To make the cheesecake batter, add heavy cream to a bowl. Whip the cream till soft peaks form. Add lemon zest, icing sugar and vanilla and whip again till everything is combined. Add cream cheese, and whip till the batter is smooth and creamy.
Chill the cream cheese batter for up to two hours.
To assemble the mini cheesecakes, start by filling a piping bag with the cream cheesecake batter.
In a glass or jar, add two tablespoons biscuit crumbs. Pipe in the cheesecake batter, and add a tablespoon or two of the blueberry compote. Top with more cheesecake batter and blueberry compote till the glass is full. Repeat this process for the other glasses as well. Serve immediately or refrigerate till ready to serve.

CHIA SEED PUDDING

Ingredients-

130Grams Dried Cranberries
1 Cup Milk
½ Cup Honey
1 Cup Yogurt
½ Cup Chia Seeda
Dried Cranberries For Topping

Method-

Blend together dried cranberries, milk and honey till smooth.
In a bowl add yogurt and the blended cranberry mixture. Whisk together till smooth and creamy. Add chia seeds and mix well. Refrigerate for two hours. The pudding should thicken up as the chia seeds absorb the liquid.
To serve, divide in bowls and top with more cranberries.
