On How She Spends her Lock-down Days

Actress Model Ekta Jain surely knows how to make lemonade out of the lemons life is giving everyone these days! The corona scare isn’t damping her spirits and she seems to be making the most of her time by connecting with her fans. While she recently celebrated the May Day or Maharashtra Day or even Gujarat Day in a unique way, she’s also connecting with her fans via various social media lives that she is executing.

“It is work from home even for us actors,” says Ekta. Her recent May Day look was much loved by fans and she takes immense pride in executing these looks without the comforts of hair and makeup artists.

“I chose to don a look that represented feels of different parts of India keeping in mind Maharashtra day I chose to wear the typical Maharashtrian Nath, my kurta had Abala work which is extremely famous in Gujarat since it was also Gujarat day and I wore the bindi to represent so many of our Indian women. The look was really appreciated by my followers,” says Ekta contentedly.

Social media is definitely connecting celebrities with their fans and Ekta is making the most of the technology advancements during these lock-down days. Elaborating more on what her LIVEs are all about Ekta says, “We are entertainers and what better time than now to perk up people and bring some smiles on their faces?” She also shares ways in which one can spend their lock-down days with fulfillment. “I think God has given us this wonderful gift of lock-down because we were so busy in our lives otherwise in this race of earning – money or fame – that we were really leaving behind those things that really matter. I urge my followers to spend all this beautiful time we have by playing games with their family, helping parents out in household chores, help mothers to clean up and cooking and most importantly, spend all the time at home and go out only and only if necessary and that too not without the masks and gloves,” says Ekta.

This multifaceted model, anchor, publicist and actress has really made a mark in the industry through sheer hard work. She started off with acting in Plays and TV serials and gave it up to join Jet Airways as Cabin Crew. She traveled the world with it and eventually having reached the highest post in Cabin Crew, left it all up to co-run a PR firm. She eventually started taking up modelling and anchoring assignments and now has finally taken to acting. Her ability to adapt to the roles in the various languages is a rare talent that Ekta possesses, perhaps it’s that ability which has garnered her 7,40,700 TikTok followers and 8.7 Million hearts in very less time. Her latest Hindi comedy horror film Khali Bali shoot is over and will release post Lockdown. Ekta Jain is known for major hit shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Kahin Diya Jale Kahin Piya and Shagun.

Ask her how she is spending her lock-down days and she says, “Oh I am cooking and cleaning and connecting with my fans. I made besan laddoos the other day and they turned out to be so delicious that we finished it in two days. We’ve also been doing a lot of cleaning up in the house. I am getting the chance to maintain my little garden space so I am growing the basics we need in the kitchen, like some herbs and tomatoes etc.”

This precautionary measure can reduce the risk of exposure and safeguard the health of the family members. Using the two-way talk function on the Qubo cameras, individuals can also interact with visitors in a contactless manner.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Incorporating the above ideology in his work, Ar. Manish Dikshit, Founding Principal of AUM

Architects came up with a coalesce of class and flamboyance with his recent residential design “Clifton”. Blending his favourite minimalistic contemporary design style with a new-fangled eclectic approach; Manish wraps up the bare canvas given by the client in his open-ended brief with exhilarating surprises. The client’s brief highlighted only the functional regime of spaces; giving the design team a free hand on the planning. The objective was to achieve a barrier-free space that exemplified a multifaceted domain.

Setting out the steppingstones to attain an exclusive aura the lustrous metallic and clear glass entrance door welcomes the guests into this flawless sphere. A transition space has been assimilated between the entrance door and the main door in which on one side lies a fascinating wall treatment and complete mirror cladding is done on the opposite wall in order to create an illusion of volume. One enters the artsy living cum dining room through the main door where keeping the forms to be minimal, the confluence of distinctive colours serves as the focal facet of the expanse. The grape high-gloss wall with gold metal inlay on one side complements a darker hue of grape colour with black matte metal inlay adorning the TV wall. The rest of the walls are covered in a beige wallpaper including a matte sheen while balancing out the colour scheme; granting the living room a chic sense of sophistication.

The furniture pieces inculcated form to be art in themselves- the bespoke console finished in wood and Mimosa hued PU finish. Accents of the mimosa tone have also been displayed in the showstopper custom art in the dining area. The dining table acquires a base finished in veneer with intersecting metal bars in gold; the tabletop is in clear glass with a complimentary gold back-painted border. The dining chairs’ fabric in stripped pattern adds a tint of pattern amongst the solid colours used overall.

Moving further, the living room leads to the kitchen; as one walks towards the kitchen, they catch a glimpse of the mandir. In order to retain the mandir as an extension of the kitchen, the facet is fabricated in clear glass. The grey marble floor continues from the kitchen into the mandir; however, handmade tiles integrated in the centre of the mandir gives a delusion of vibrant carpet design. The mandir comprises hints of grey, copper metal accents and chrome.

The kitchen is outlined with a modern take manifesting a British influence through the inculcation of aubergine colour laminate for the under counters instilled with copper-toned handles. The kitchen top is pristine white with ash grey glossy tiles laid in a herringbone pattern; while the overhead unit has been kept subtle with a fine fabric texture laminate. The colour palette introduced emanates the volume of the space.

Meandering forward with the design, the kids’ bedroom is a minimal concoction of accents of grey and sunflower yellow. The room was designed in a way to add vitality, keeping in mind the childhood years of the two boys who will live here. The laser-cut polka dots on the white acrylic sheet pasted over sunflower yellow laminate on the wardrobe, rubberwood study table and book unit, accentuate the vivacity of the design.

Combining a gleaming colour scheme and resonant material palette, the master bedroom is a perfect fusion of style, elegance and opulence. The material palette constitutes marble tech tiles, wooden side tables, a rich burgundy headboard that wraps around the bed and a grey wallpaper with filigree work that adds texture in the room. A prepossessing wallpaper is glued onto the ceiling from the approach door to the mirror that forms an interesting demarcation of the passage. Lighting became a critical aspect in this room as it comprised an enormous window granting natural light and the schema was kept more towards the darker side. Hence, pendants and ceiling lights were inculcated in the room in order to achieve a perception of lights washing the walls.

Underscored by luxury, the palette for the classical guest bedroom room was kept subtle with copper metallic accents, placid blue on the wardrobe, champagne toned wallpaper and wooden flooring. Mouldings contrived on the wardrobe shutters and the soft grey cornice running on the periphery of the ceiling underlines the classical cadence of the area.

“Clifton” forms to be a brew of fashions marking its presence amongst the multitudinous luxury residential designs. The design of this house is a sheer corollary of plethoric compositional styles ranging from being geometrical and passionate about posing for a sophisticated flamboyance

Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari e-unveiled FLO Compendium of 100 successful women Entrepreneurs in MSME organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation ( FLO ) recently in the capital.

While unveiling the Compendium, he said, “In these hard times, you all are striving hard to work and overcome the situation, my best wishes to all of you. Keep moving forward with this positive attitude and strong will, we will soon overcome Corona War as well economic crisis war and India will become super economic power. However, the priority is to win over the Corona war.”

The situation is very bad and challenging but there is a blessing in disguise for India. Japan, US, Germany and all the European countries wants to withdraw from China and it is a golden opportunity for India to take up this position. This is a time for conversion of knowledge into wealth. Innovation, R&D, Technology, joint ventures and most importantly entrepreneurship is required to covert the knowledge into wealth. He also stressed on taking initiatives in converting waste to wealth, giving examples of how it’s been done under his Ministry’s initiatives and suggestions.

The government has announced various relief packages and support for the industry and is soon announcing few more to help the MSME industry overcome the situation. We should resume the operations slowly and gradually keeping in mind all the guidelines issued by the government.

During the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation, IWEC Awards hosted by FLO in November 2019, the minister, announced to launch a compendium of 100 successful women entrepreneurs in MSME. Being the only pan-India business chambers of women, FLO was entrusted with this responsibility by the MSME Ministry. This compendium is a ready reckoner of 100 inspirational stories of women in MSME, who have ideated, innovated and worked tirelessly to create a niche and successfully contribute to the economy of the nation.

This book is another milestone in the illustrious journey of FLO as it is for the first time in the history of FLO that the Ministry of MSME has supported a publication with its logo, adding great significance to the Compendium.

FLO President, Harjinder Kaur Talwar said, “It is highly encouraging to see that we have a huge repertoire of women entrepreneurs in our country. No success is complete without documenting it. He also welcomed FLO’s idea of having this compendium translated in different regional languages for far reach and also creating a platform where the new business ideas can be propagated, formal training sessions can be conducted and adequate technical and financial help can be given to women entrepreneurs to start their ventures.
