At Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, in association with Nexxus New York, Dolly J unveiled BRĀHM, a couture collection inspired by the Brahma Kamal—the rare Himalayan flower revered for symbolizing spiritual awakening and the transformation of the soul. Instead of translating the flower literally into fashion, the designer captured its essence through refined craftsmanship, fluid silhouettes, and richly textured surfaces.

The runway mirrored the mood of the collection. A restrained setting, soft lighting, and an unhurried pace allowed every look to command attention, drawing the eye to intricate embroidery, sculpted silhouettes, and hand-finished details.

Dolly J’s signature romantic aesthetic was evident throughout the collection. Delicate kashidakari embroidery met intricate jali work, while cascading tassels added movement to lehengas, gowns, and contemporary separates. Botanical-inspired motifs blended seamlessly with modern tailoring, creating a collection that balanced heritage craftsmanship with contemporary couture.

The color palette reflected the changing landscape of the Himalayas. Shades of deep wine, antique gold, earthy rust, and warm copper were softened with luminous ivory, blush pink, shimmering silver, marine blue, and celestial blue. Together, the colors highlighted the richness of the textiles and the precision of the handwork.
This season also marked a milestone for the label with the debut of menswear, making it the first time Dolly J has presented a dedicated men’s couture line on the runway.
Speaking after the show, the designer explained that introducing menswear felt like a natural progression for the house.

“Menswear has become an integral part of wedding wear,” Dolly J said. “Men today are much more experimental. They’re embracing color, accessories, and intricate craftsmanship with confidence. They want to dress up just as much, and that inspired me to create this collection.”
That philosophy was reflected throughout the men’s looks, where kashidakari, jali work, heritage-inspired prints, and classic paisley motifs appeared across sherwanis, tailored jackets, and occasion wear. Rather than creating a separate identity, the menswear carried the same craftsmanship and design language that have long defined Dolly J’s womenswear.
The evening concluded with Vaani Kapoor, who closed the show in one of Dolly J’s intricately embellished couture creations. Elegant and ethereal, the look embodied the refined craftsmanship that defined BRĀHM.
Speaking about the experience, Kapoor said she was deeply moved by the story behind the Brahma Kamal.
“What resonated with me most was what the Brahma Kamal represents,” she shared. “It’s synonymous with the transformation of the soul, and I’m truly elated to be part of a show inspired by such a meaningful idea.”

She also admitted that stepping into Dolly J’s creation made her feel “like a doll,” praising the intricate detailing and artistry of the ensemble.
Reflecting on the collection, Dolly J described BRĀHM as an exploration of personal evolution through couture.
“The Brahma Kamal blooms in silence, yet carries immense spiritual significance,” she said. “Every silhouette reflects a process of becoming, where heritage craftsmanship, delicate artistry, and modern femininity exist in harmony.”

With BRĀHM, Dolly J expanded her couture universe while remaining true to the craftsmanship that has always defined her work. The introduction of menswear, combined with the house’s signature embroidery, thoughtful tailoring, and refined aesthetic, marked a confident new chapter for the label—one that reflects the evolving language of contemporary Indian couture.
